I've put up with this for years, but enough is enough: invariably if I answer these calls it turns out to be:
1. head hunter/recruitment officer (dude, I am on maternity leave - don't call me, I'll call you! - well I would if your number wasn't private)
2. insurance salesman (how did you get my UNLISTED number?)
3. mobile phone salesman (how did YOU get my UNLISTED number?) offering me an upgrade when we both know that I am not eligible for another 16 months!
4. the office (if you're calling me now it can't be for anything good so I'd rather not know, thanks)
5. some other stranger I do not want to speak to.
So, if you're calling me from a blocked/private number - leave a message cos I'm not picking up. (The only exception to this rule is Verlon... cos I like you).

my stalker calls fr private number. I think he does it on purpose, either that or too cheap to use his own fone.
If it is then you and I are both in the same boat! If anything, I'll listen to the voice message and call you back if I know you (or at least answer the next time lol)!
how verlon is only exception...overseas calls come up as unknown #s too! jah

ps overseas calls only come up unknown if u use a calling card instead of direct dial :P
My hse fone is ex directory so if I use that its always private number. Ive taken to calling ppl on my mobile and then saying Im going to call u back with private number.
I always pick up numbers i dont know, I am curious to know who it is. allot of ppl dont leave msgs and that is annoyin when u dont know the number.
LOL. Hilarious. Annette girl you crack me up. In earlier studies I found the "Hello? Hello? Hello? Hello?" tactic worked very well, when one does inadvertently answer expecting it to be THAT job offer...or international caller. Nowadays I rarely answer my phone - withheld, unknown, 0207, 0208, 079, 078, 084...and so on! LOL. If no name appears and if it is not a bajan number I'm less keen.LOL.
Well ClarkLey I am honoured to be named as the only exception......having only just read this thought I had better reply immediately.......equally I have exceptions which only apply to you also.....FFE always.
